MEDICAL ISSUES

There is quite a large list of contraindications to performing manual therapy treatments, the most important are:

- oncological diseases,
- multiple sclerosis,
- intervertebral hernias of the 4th and 5th degree,
- osteoporosis,
- closure of neural recesses (interruption of the signal of the nerve bundle),
- paresis,
- spasticity,
- tuberculous lupus,
-atherosclerosis,
- fragility of vessels,
- blood pressure problems,
- frequent dizziness, due to neuroligical reasons
- recent surgeries and invasive procedures.

Hiding these conditions is dangerous to your health.
If you are undergoing long-term treatment, e.g. for depression, it is worth telling about it, because the action of medications can cause very unpleasant effects of constant pain after the massage.
Yes, manual therapy is safe, provided that it is performed by an experienced therapist. Manual therapy can be dangerous if it is performed by a person who does not have sufficient knowledge and experience in this field.
Yes, absolutely - it is worth bringing current test results: X-ray of the spine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or an image from a computed tomography of the spine. If you are undergoing long-term treatment, it is worth telling about it during such a meeting.
Yes, but not in the first trimester and not at the end of the third. The second trimester and the first half of the third is the time when you can adjust the spine and relieve the joints. Knowing that you are pregnant, I will take care of the comfort of your belly during the procedure.
Yes. However, I recommend not to feed during the procedure ;) Pregnancy, childbirth and caring for a small child are a huge effort for the mother's body. The massage will allow you to relax for a while, and the manual therapy will help you regain the correct posture and make it easier to undertake daily duties. Additionally, after the postpartum period, I can help you return to your pre-pregnancy belly by using special kinesio tapes.
NO. Physiotherapy is often indicated as a long-term process of restoring mobility and motor activation of patients. Both methods coexist and it is good to use them in parallel to maximize the effects. However, there are situations, e.g. after spine or joint surgery, when physiotherapy is a better solution than manual therapy.
Some patients come to me when the condition of their back is already critical, making everyday functioning difficult. It's much too late. Sometimes the changes that have occurred in the body are too great and non-invasive methods are not enough. If you feel that your back or neck limits your movement, this is a sign not to wait and make an appointment for the treatment.
"Shooting" and adjusting the joints does not hurt, but it may happen that in order to adjust them, I need to relax my muscles, and this sometimes hurts a lot. If you don't take care to stretch your muscles regularly, then having another person relax them is not a pleasant experience. Many people who come to me for the first time are stressed because they don't know what awaits them. I always try to explain and explain to familiarize myself with this new experience.
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee this, because I do not have the power to enforce recommendations, exercises, adjust the chair at work or in the car, or make sure that you do not lift on your outstretched arms... Additionally, each body is different and the same behavior in different people gives different results . Therefore, it may happen that the tension in the back muscles returns and they will have to be adjusted again.
Good practice - preferably once every 2 weeks when you have a sedentary job or do hard physical work. If you are preparing for a competition or an important concert, it is worth showing up just before the event and preparing your back for this task. If you want to take care of yourself for your own comfort and health prevention, it is worth coming and getting adjusted at least once a month.
Yes, side effects may appear - the main one is red skin after the massage, it is a deep and unnatural way of touching. If you tend to bruise, you may experience some bruising as well. Sometimes patients report feeling dizzy after a thoracic and cervical spine alignment, but this is normal once the blood flow is unblocked by relaxing the muscles around the arteries.
If there is little physical activity, my treatments can give the effect of quite intense training, then the muscles may hurt up to 48 hours after the treatment.
Patients often ask whether they can go to their favorite training session after manual therapy treatment. Yes, if they exercise regularly, there are no contraindications to further training after the treatment. However, if the procedure was performed after an attack of sciatica, it is recommended to refrain from overloading the spine for a few days to give it a chance to regenerate.
My oldest patient was 94 years old, and the aim of our meetings was to restore his ability to leave home on his own. Also, if there are no diseases listed in contraindications to manual therapy, I can help.

Child

Look at what your child looks like when he or she is standing. If you can see that the arms are not at the same height or are rounded towards the middle of the chest, if almost always when standing, one leg bends and when walking, it swings like a sailor, if when raising the arms to the side, one goes higher than the other - come and see if I can help.
Let your child develop naturally until the age of 5. If your child reports back pain or you notice any abnormalities in his or her posture, it is worth making an appointment for a consultation.
Just like an adult, it gives a feeling of lightness and greater comfort. Reduces stress and lowers cortisol levels.
The child is growing rapidly. If his spine is not in optimal alignment, it may ossify "crooked". Taking care of its proper positioning will result in a better condition of the skeleton in the future and will reward you with less pain in adulthood.
It is worth coming with your child for a consultation and seeing how I can help. People up to 22 years of age have "green bones", which are quite flexible. If we see early that our children are wincing or reporting back pain, it is worth seeing a chiropractor.
In my professional career, I have helped several children avoid surgery who were qualified for bone lengthening surgery due to different leg lengths. If the problem occurs above the point where the back loses its noble name, then I can help.
Young players have a huge drive for results, which is a great motivator for even more intense training. However, this involves intense overload. To improve their performance, it is worth using the services of a chiropractor from time to time, thanks to which the efficiency of the muscles and joints will be at the highest level.

Organizational issues

- It is worth taking care of your own comfort and that of the masseur. If possible (severe pain does not prevent you from moving), it is a good idea to freshen up after the whole day and take care of your hygiene.
- Massage underwear should not be too tight (shorts, corsets, etc.) - it will be difficult to massage and easy to get dirty with oil.
- jeans, especially tight ones, also make my work easier, and the seams are durable ;) (manual therapy takes place in clothes, so it's best to wear comfortable, sporty clothes)
- If you have test results - MRI, X-ray, ultrasound - have them ready for review.
- If you have any changes to your skin, do not forget to mention them before starting the treatment.
- If we meet at your home - to make the treatment more pleasant, you can use your own towels, they are nicer than disposable non-woven sheets.
Yes. You can park next to the property, on the street or in the yard after prior telephone contact (opening the gate).
Of course. To arrange a home visit, please contact us by phone/text/messenger - via booksy you can only make an appointment in the office.

Of course. You can purchase a printed voucher in a gift envelope during your visit to the office or order a voucher via the website - printed yourself or delivered by post.

Yes, absolutely. Before each treatment, we determine the scope of activities according to what is most needed and desired at a given moment.
